Research
The proposed Center of Geoeconomics for the Global South (COGGS) aims to address the unique challenges and opportunities faced by developing countries in the evolving global economic landscape. Through strategic analysis, policy development, and dialogue, COGGS seeks to promote economic integration, collaboration, and proactive engagement among Global South nations and the global economy. The center’s objectives include conducting research and analysis, policy development, capacity building, dialogue and advocacy, and partnership and collaboration. Expected outcomes include enhanced geoeconomic capabilities, improved negotiating positions, increased collaboration, and knowledge sharing. Governed by a diverse board and advised by global economic experts, COGGS plans to secure funding from various sources to support its initiatives. With an implementation plan in place, COGGS aims to contribute significantly to the economic development and influence of Global South countries, fostering a brighter future for communities worldwide.
