analysis of international development. Section 3 provides an overview of the Global South's economic landscape,
highlighting its diversity and the structural challenges that influence its geoeconomic strategies. The section also focuses
on the economic tools and strategies the emerging Global South economies use to integrate themselves into the
global trade and investment system, support regional cooperation frameworks and advance their connectivity initiatives.
Section 4 explores these engagements from the perspective of strategic behaviour, the role of traditional Western
powers in the Global South and the competitive dynamics influencing the geoeconomic strategies of this region. Lastly,
section 5 emphasises a set of principles to guide the Global South's geoeconomic strategy that can most effectively
contribute to the region's development outlook moving ahead, and section 6 concludes the paper.
